Underage Gambling Policy

This page is for players, parents, guardians and anyone who shares a home or a device with a Kananaskis Casino account holder. It applies on every visit, logged in or not, on any device. It explains our age rule, the tools families can use, how we check age and what we do when a minor is found.

Age Requirement

1.1 Kananaskis Casino is strictly 19+. Registering, depositing and playing are only for people aged 19 or over. This includes our free daily prize game, which needs no deposit.

1.2 Access is offered only where online play is legal locally. Our age checks, identity checks and anti-money laundering checks follow Canadian rules.

1.3 We do not design marketing, offers or the Kananaskis Rewards programme to appeal to people under 19, and we do not knowingly direct promotions to them.

1.4 Using a false date of birth or another person's identity to open an account breaks the Player Agreement.

Parental Controls

2.1 Filtering options available in most homes:

  • Parental controls built into phone, tablet and computer operating systems.
  • Content filters on your home router.
  • Filtering services offered by your internet provider.
  • Age restrictions in app stores and web browsers.

2.2 Most filters include a gambling category. Turn it on, and add kananaskiscasino.app to the block list.

2.3 Protect payment methods. Require a password, PIN or biometric approval for Apple Pay and Google Pay. Keep Visa cards, Paysafecard vouchers and e-wallet logins out of reach of children.

2.4 Talk with young people about gambling. Explain that casino games are built so the house has an edge and are not a route to easy money.

Minor Found

3.1 If we find out, or have good reason to suspect, that an account is being used by someone under 19:

  1. We suspend the account straight away.
  2. Deposits, play and marketing all come to a stop.
  3. We request age documents from the account holder.
  4. If we confirm that a user is under 19, their account is closed for good.
  5. Any deposits are sent back to the original payment method.
  6. Any winnings are void.

3.2 Under the Player Agreement, we close an adult's account if the holder let a minor play. This also applies if a minor used the adult's details or payment methods.

3.3 Think someone below the legal age can get onto our site? Email [email protected] with the account email or name if you know it, and tell us what worries you. We keep every report confidential.

Shared Devices

4.1 In homes where devices are shared:

  • Log out every time you're done playing.
  • Do not let a browser or password manager save your login on a shared device.
  • Set up separate user profiles for each person, with a password on yours.
  • Use a screen lock, and never leave the device unlocked with our site open.
  • Do not let children watch you play or handle your payment details.

4.2 Turn off any stay-logged-in option on shared devices. Cookies and Tracking explains how login cookies work and how to clear them.

4.3 Account holders are accountable for all activity on their account. Securing your device protects your money and the young people around you.

Age Checks

5.1 You must enter your date of birth to register. No one under 19 can sign up.

5.2 We complete an identity check and a geolocation check before we accept any deposit. Accounts that cannot be verified cannot fund play.

5.3 If the electronic check is inconclusive, we request a current passport, provincial photo ID card or driver's licence. Account Verification lists every accepted document.

5.4 We may check age again at any time, for example after a report from a family member, when account details do not match or before a withdrawal.

5.5 The name on every payment method must match the account holder. A payment method in another person's name triggers further checks.
